Prayer
At Christ Church, we are committed to becoming a people on our knees. That means prayer isn't a polite obligation or an afterthought. It's our first impulse in every circumstance. Here is what that looks like in practice:
Pray First
Before we ask for anything or take any action, we begin by drawing near to God simply for who he is — to behold his beauty and seek his face. At the start of any gathering we may pause to do this together.
Worship & Thanksgiving
Prayer that's for God's sake — ascribing to him the glory he deserves. Worship and thanksgiving are woven into every Sunday service and gathering at Christ Church.
Devotional Prayer
Prayer that nurtures your personal relationship with God. We encourage using the Lord's Prayer as a daily pattern, alongside the Life Journal available at the welcome kiosk.
Listening prayer
Prayer that creates space for God to speak — to you and through you to others. We come expecting to hear from him, whether for wisdom, encouragement, or guidance for the road ahead.
Intercessory prayer
Prayer for others and for situations beyond your own. If you'd like to request prayer or get involved as an intercessor, reach out at prayer@[address] or email us at [email address].
Prayer Ministry
Praying with and for others in person. Our Prayer Room is open every Sunday morning, and there is often an opportunity to receive prayer after the message.
Prayer training
Our trainings covers devotional prayer, intercessory prayer, and how to minister to others. Apply to join our Sunday morning prayer ministry team below.
Nights of Prayer
Every other month, we set aside one evening to come together for extended prayer and worship — suspending all other church activities for the week.

I Need Prayer
Share your prayer request with our team—we'd be honoured to pray with you.
